The Department of Life sciences was established in 1977 with a mission of discovering and disseminating knowledge in the field of Life Sciences through teaching & learning process and to address problems affecting health & welfare of the society. To meet the requirement, the department offers Post-Graduate Programme like M.Sc. & Ph.D. in Life Sciences, to generate competent human resources as per individual, institutional and societal norms. Life Sciences are the thrust area of the 21st Century and are considered as the fastest growing discipline across the world. This DST-FIST sponsored department is receiving grants from various other agencies such as UGC, DBT, ICMR, MoEF, NBFGR etc. And has the following facilities,
