Five students from the Dibrugarh University Karate Coaching Centre—Arhi Chetia, Prayashi Chetia, Raeesah Zaman, Aman Abir Hazarika, and Agniv Gautam—achieved their 1st Dan Black Belt.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Majuli University of Culture, Prof. Nirode Baruah, graced the auspicious occasion along with D.U. Sports Officer Dr. Dipjyoti Gogoi, President of Dibrugarh District Karate Do Association Shri Niren Phukan, Working President Shri Ananta Bora, examiner Sensai Bishwajit Sonowal, Sensai Babul Dutta, Sensai Sasankar S. Suklabadiya, and many other dignitaries.
The five students have been trained for the past five years by Sensai Anjan Chetia at the Dibrugarh University Karate Coaching Centre.
