The result of the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2021, announced by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell on the 29th of December at 11.00 am. The results were announced in the online mode through a live screening (the recording of which may be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm7ZyQGo_i4) and were graced by the Hon’ble Minister of State, Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, as Chief Guest.
The ‘e-release of the ARIIA 2021’ rankings witnessed the participation of the education fraternity to commemorate the achievement of Indian HEIs in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem development, including Dibrugarh University. The present rankings and categories evaluated the participation of 1438 institutions (including all IITs, NITs, IISc, etc.) as compared to 674 HEIs in the previous iteration.
In this regard, the year 2021 marks the first time the Dibrugarh University has participated in this unique framework designed and launched in 2018 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, “to systematically rank all major educational institutions in India on their innovation achievements and ability to create startup ecosystems within their campuses.”
As communicated by the National Implementation Team – ARIIA, MoE’s Innovation Cell, New Delhi, Dibrugarh University has been categorized under the “Band-Promising” of the University & Deemed to be University (Govt. & Govt. Aided) (Technical) category (which can be viewed here: https://www.ariia.gov.in/Ranking/2021/Index.html#divUnivercity) along with institutions such as Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Hyderabad, Andhra University, Vishakapatnam, Kerala University, and the University of Mumbai, among others.
