As per the directives of the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Govt. of India and Regional Directorate, NSS Guwahati, the volunteers of the NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University, engaged themselves in the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign started on 17th September 2024. The programme was started in the Campus of Dibrugarh University. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jiten Hazarika inaugurated the programme in the presence of Dr. P. Sonowal, Registrar, D.U. and Prof. D. Kardong, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, D.U. The programme ended with an oath-taking ceremony. The volunteers took the oath on Swachhata. Around 50 NSS PG Unit volunteers collected approximately 50 Kg of single-use plastics. The whole plan was executed under the guidance of Dr. Amar Upadhyaya, Programme Officer, NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University. The senior volunteers Kaustav Barua, Kunal Agarwal, Chinhani Garg and others made all necessary arrangements.
