Centre for Studies in Physical Education and Sports, Dibrugarh University successfully conducted the AFC C Coaching Diploma Course from 29th June to 9th July 2024 under the aegis of the All India Football Federation in association with Assam Football Association. A total of 25 candidates participated in the course. Mr. Chingtham Rabisankar Singh acted as the AFC C coach educator of the course. A total of 35 players from different football coaching centers of Dibrugarh respectively, Barbaruah Football Coaching Center, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Football Coaching Center, and Rainbow Football Coaching Center participated as players. Dr. Jituranjan Chetia, Instrument Officer, Department of Chemistry and Vice-President of the Dibrugarh University Officers Association, Mr. Paban Talukdar, Dibrugarh University Security Officer, and Mr. Dhwajen Sonowal, Estate Officer, Dibrugarh University, participated in the inaugural ceremony. In the closing ceremony, Mr. Pranab Boruah, former Director of Sports Dibrugarh University, Prof. Neeta Kalita Boruah, Dean Faculty of Education, Chairperson of the Centre for Applied Psychology and President of Dibrugarh University Teachers Association, Mr. Moni Saikia, veteran renwound sports organizer, Dr. Diganta Bhuyan, HoD of Applied Geology and Chief Warden, Dr. Dipjyoti Gogoi Dibrugarh University, Ms. Sami Saikia, District Sports Officer, Dr. Mantu Baro, Director Incharge of Center for Studies in Physical Education and Sports, Dibrugarh University, Mrs. Sanita Dowara, Athletic Coach and technical official and Mrs. Ainu Sonowal, Physical Instructor, athletic coach and technical official and Debajit Borua also participated in the closing ceremony.
