Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University has organized two online lecture sessions by its Alumni for the students of the Department on 4th and 5thSeptember 2020 as a part of the Alumni Peroration Series, 2020.
On 4th September 2020 Shantanu Chakraborty, an alumnus of Department of Commerce, DU of 2010-12 batch and presently Master Trainer, TATA AIA Life has delivered a talk on “Career Opportunities Post Covid 19 Situation”. While emphasizing on acquiring Knowledge and Presentation Skills, he explained how one can excel in his/her career. What they do not teach in Harvard is more important for us to explore, he added.
On 5th September, 2020 Md Imran Hussain, an alumnus of Department of Commerce, DU of 2012-14 batch and presently Business Analyst, Intercontinental Exchange has delivered a talk on “Opportunities in Building Career” where he emphasizing on going for some upskill programs, may be online, to improve the chance of getting a better breakthrough in the job market. He also informed the participants about the varies opportunities that the present batches of students can en-cash upon with the changing dimensions.
Their deliberations brought a lot of enthusiasm among the participants and they actively participated the discussion session with lot of quarries being put forwarded to the speakers. Both the speakers were able to address to the queries to their satisfaction level. The series was coordinated by the Head of the Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University.
