Dibrugarh University observed the Surgical Strike day in colourful manner on 29.09.2018. Professor L. K. Nath, the acting Vice-Chancellor, D.U., Dr. Hari Chandra Mahanta, the Registrar, Dibrugarh University, Professor, Mukut Hazarika, Dean, School of Education, D.U., Colonel Joydeep Goswami, Commanding Officer, NCC, Dr. Devid Kardong, HoD, Dept. of Life Science, D.U. were attended the programme. Invited Speaker Colonel Joydeep Goswami, Commanding Officer, NCC, delivered a significant lecture on Surgical Strike, in his speech, he described about the Surgical Strike.
Prof. L.K. Nath delivered the Inaugural Speech. On the occasion, the NSS Volunteers of the University performed a patriotic group song. A spot slogan writing among the University students was also conducted and recited in the programme. A friendly football match was also organized between U17 NCC Football Team and Dibrugarh University students’ team. The NCC team won the match by 4-0 goal. The teachers, officers, employees, research scholars and students witnessed the programme. Dr. Devid Kardong, HoD, Dept. of Life Science offered the vote of thanks. Ms. Mridushmita Phukan, Assistant Professor of Physical Education anchored the programme.
